What is Elegant Night?

Elegant Night is a special evening on Carnival Cruise Line where guests are encouraged to dress their best and enjoy an elevated dining and onboard experience. Typically held on cruises lasting six days or longer, this event offers passengers the opportunity to embrace a more formal atmosphere, creating a memorable night filled with glamour and celebration. Guests don attire ranging from cocktail dresses and evening gowns to suits and tuxedos, while children are encouraged to dress in similarly polished outfits. It’s a chance for cruisers to capture professional photos at various themed backdrops set up around the ship, making for a perfect keepsake from the voyage.

In addition to dressing up, Elegant Night enhances the onboard experience with elevated dining options in the main dining rooms, such as Broiled Maine Lobster Tail and Prime Rib, paired with decadent desserts like Carnival’s Warm Chocolate Melting Cake. For cruises 7 days or longer, the second Elegant Night will happen on the second to last night of the cruise with lobster being added to this menu. At this time, that is the only difference between the two Elegant Night Menus. Two lobsters are complimentary, and each additional lobster ordered will be charged $5.00/each. The evening often features live entertainment, special events, and an overall festive ambiance throughout the ship. Whether you’re dining with friends, attending a show, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, Elegant Night offers a unique and upscale twist to the casual fun Carnival is known for.
