Windstar Cruises Basil + Bamboo Restaurant - PDF Menu & Photos
Basil + Bamboo is Windstar Cruises' complimentary Mediterranean-Asian fusion restaurant, offering an alternative dinner experience with globally inspired flavors in an intimate setting. Unlike the main dining room, this reservation-only venue features a smaller menu that changes depending on your sailing, making each visit a little different.
What Is Basil + Bamboo on Windstar Cruises?
Basil + Bamboo is one of Windstar Cruises' specialty dining venues, combining Mediterranean and Asian influences into a unique dinner experience. The restaurant serves a curated selection of small plates, sushi, seafood, premium meats, and desserts in a quieter setting than the main dining room.
Because the restaurant has very limited seating, reservations are required and are typically made once onboard. Availability can fill quickly, especially on longer sailings, so it's a good idea to reserve early in your cruise.
Like the other restaurants on Windstar Cruises, Basil + Bamboo is included in your cruise fare. There is no additional cover charge to dine here.

Basil + Bamboo operates with two different dinner menus. Depending on your cruise itinerary and sailing week, you'll typically be offered one version or the other.
Both menus focus on Mediterranean and Asian-inspired cuisine, but the dishes vary between sailings.
One menu includes starters such as a Mediterranean raw bar with tuna tartare and hamachi crudo, burrata with figs and balsamic caviar, sushi samplers, and miso soup. Main courses feature options like miso black cod, grilled Spanish octopus, free-range chicken, beef medallions, and crispy Brussels sprouts. Desserts include citrus olive oil cake, chocolate caramel crèmeux, and vanilla panna cotta.
The second menu offers different selections, including a tapas sampler, yellowtail crudo, smoked veal carpaccio, sashimi salad, and sushi samplers to start. Entrées include jumbo shrimp, seared salmon, spicy chipotle lamb chops, and grilled sweet corn, while desserts feature tiramisu mochi, a golden chocolate raspberry bar, and pistachio ponzu with yuzu cream cheese crèmeux.
Although the individual dishes rotate, both menus showcase the same concept of combining Mediterranean ingredients with Asian flavors and techniques.
