What is a “Spa Balcony” – Norwegian Cruise Line

As of October 2, 2023 Norwegian Cruise Line has recategorized the B9 Spa Balconies to standard balcony staterooms. This category of stateroom no longer exists. Please visit here to learn more about Norwegian Cruise Line onboard information.

If you are in need of a total relaxation vacation that doesn’t break the bank, the Spa Balcony staterooms on Norwegian Cruise Line are the perfect fit. On select Breakaway and Breakaway-Plus class ships, the Spa Balcony category staterooms are typically closer to the spa and come with unlimited complimentary access to the ship’s thermal suite onboard.

The room layout and size is the same as a standard balcony stateroom, the only difference is the thermal suite pass. The thermal suite onboard Norwegian Cruise Line is part of the Mandara Spa. The thermal suite is based on the concept of Turkish baths, where friends and family spent the day relaxing. The heat and cleansing therapies of our thermal suite experience include heated ceramic lounge chairs, a thalasso therapy pool, hot tubs, steam room, sauna, and tropical rain showers.
