Royal Caribbean has officially unveiled plans for its next major private destination: Perfect Day Mexico. Scheduled to open in Fall 2027, this all-new experience will bring the same high-energy fun and island-style relaxation that made Perfect Day at CocoCay a fan favorite—this time to the coast of Mexico near Costa Maya. The new destination is designed with cruisers in mind and will offer record-breaking slides, massive pools, quiet beaches, and exclusive adult zones, all centered around Royal Caribbean’s signature mix of thrills and chill.

Perfect Day Mexico will span more than 200 acres and will be featured on Western Caribbean itineraries departing from Florida, Galveston, and New Orleans. Cruises visiting this new destination will be available to book starting in Fall 2025.

Loco Waterpark: Bigger Thrills Than Ever

For cruisers who loved the Daredevil’s Peak slide or Splash Summit at CocoCay, Perfect Day Mexico’s Loco Waterpark takes things to a new level. The park will include over 30 waterslides across five towers. The highlight is Jaguar’s Peak, a 170-foot-tall structure with the tallest waterslide in North and South America. It will also feature the world’s longest water coaster slide and the first sombrero-shaped slide, along with raft slides designed for groups of four to six riders.

Relaxation and Family Fun at Splash Cove

Splash Cove will introduce the longest lazy river in the world, offering a float experience lasting up to an hour. The river includes float-up bars and even a “crazy section” with waves and rapids for those who want more action. In the center of the area is a 100,000-square-foot pool, one of more than ten across the destination. Families with younger children can enjoy Royal Caribbean’s largest Splashaway Bay, with small slides and water play areas designed for kids. For added convenience, Splashaway Cabanas will be available as a base for the day.

El Hideaway Offers an Adults-Only Escape

Cruisers looking for a more relaxed or social atmosphere will appreciate El Hideaway, a space exclusively for guests 18 and older. This area will feature a zero-entry pool, swim-up bar, live DJ, and cabana service. Large groups can reserve an Ultimate Party Cabana, which includes its own private pool and bartender.

Beachfront Options from Free to Premium

Chill Beach North and South will offer nearly two miles of white sand shoreline with complimentary loungers, umbrellas, and towels. For those looking for an elevated beach day, Costa Beach Club will feature a heated infinity pool, upscale dining, and private cabanas with personal attendants and exclusive amenities.

Dining, Drinks, and Local Flavor

Perfect Day Mexico will include twelve dining venues offering regional flavors, with most options complimentary to guests. There will be twenty four bars throughout the destination, including six swim-up bars. Fiesta Plaza will welcome cruisers with music, dancing, and local culture, including mariachi performances, artisan shopping, and the world’s largest sombrero at the Tipsy Sombrero bar.

New Beach Clubs Coming to the Caribbean and Beyond

Royal Caribbean is also expanding its shoreside offerings with three new Royal Beach Clubs. The first, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, opens in December 2025 and will include all-inclusive dining, drinks, beach access, and the Floating Flamingo—the world’s largest swim-up bar. Royal Beach Club Cozumel, opening in 2026, will combine beachfront relaxation with Mexican culture, including street markets, snorkeling, and tequila tastings. In early 2027, Royal Caribbean will debut Royal Beach Club Lelepa in Vanuatu, offering South Pacific sailings with nature trails, water activities, and a focus on local experiences.

Designed for Cruisers, Backed by Local Partnerships

Perfect Day Mexico is being developed in collaboration with the local community near Mahahual, Mexico. Royal Caribbean is building a new welcome center for all cruise passengers arriving at the port, and the development aligns with the company’s SEA the Future sustainability commitments. The goal is to deliver memorable vacation experiences while supporting the communities visited.

For cruisers who have enjoyed a Perfect Day at CocoCay, Perfect Day Mexico promises to bring that same energy and variety to the Western Caribbean—with more space, more slides, more beach, and more ways to enjoy your vacation on land.
