Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Drink Package Changes at Great Stirrup Cay

The More at Sea Drinks Package Will Not Work on Great Stirrup Cay

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced that beginning March 1, 2026, the More at Sea drinks package will no longer be valid on Great Stirrup Cay, the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas. Guests who purchase this package on board will not be able to use it to order alcoholic drinks or specialty beverages while on the island.

Complimentary Drinks Will Still Be Available

Although the More at Sea drinks package will not work, certain beverages will remain free on Great Stirrup Cay. Guests can continue to get complimentary water, iced tea, juices, and other basic drinks on the island using their key card.

A New Beverage Package for Great Stirrup Cay

To give cruisers more options, Norwegian Cruise Line will introduce a new beverage package designed exclusively for Great Stirrup Cay. This package will be available for purchase starting January 1, 2026, with full details and pricing expected to be announced closer to the rollout.

Major Enhancements Coming to the Island

The drink package update is part of a broader investment in Great Stirrup Cay. Norwegian will be adding:

  • A new pier for easier access to the island

  • An expanded pool area with complimentary loungers

  • A splash pad and play area for kids

  • The Great Tides Waterpark, set to open in summer 2026, featuring 19 waterslides, a dynamic river, and family attractions

What Does the More at Sea Drinks Package Include?

The More at Sea drinks package is Norwegian Cruise Line’s standard beverage package, offering guests unlimited drinks while on board the ship. It covers a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and other options. Since it no longer applies on Great Stirrup Cay starting March 1, 2026, cruisers should review what is included in the package and decide if the new island-specific beverage package is right for them.
